History

These are considered modern folk houses and usually were built as second homes. That is why you can find them scattered all over the Rocky Mountains, but don’t see them much in the City of Omaha (with some notable exceptions).

Features

In this style, the roof is also the wall, and so it forms an inverted V shape (or a verted A shape, hence the name). Sometimes you will see an A-Frame component in the center of a Mid-Century Ranch (an A with broken legs).
